We've had a bit of last minute shuffling in the show schedule for this season. Unfortunately, the Charlotte Fiber Festival has been postponed until further notice due to a personal issue with the organizer.

However, the great news is that we've been invited, last minute, to participate in the Pittsburgh Knit and Crochet Festival! If your are in the Pittsburgh area on March 15,16, or 17, make sure to come and check us out.

Here are the teaser photos for our new scarf pattern that is debutting in March! Make sure to check out the Sheepish Creations booth to see the scarf in person. :)

I hope that everyone has been having a great New Year!

Pam and I have been very busy getting prepared for the start of the show season in March. If you are in the greater Charlotte, NC area, be sure to check us out in early March at the Charlotte Fiber Festival

In addition to our show preparations, we've been busy designing a funky, supersoft scarf that we'll be unveiling in Charlotte. Right now the pattern is still a secret, but I can tell you that it includes great, curly locks of wool and a unique method to keep it pinned on!

In the meantime, be sure to check out some of our newest additions to our etsy shop--knitting needles!
Fast-forward your knitting projects with big US 19 knitting needles! A beautiful knitting project begins with high quality materials, including your needles. These are Susan Bates needles in a lightweight plastic that are smooth and warm to the touch. You'll be whipping out chunky projects in no time!

The needles pictured are size US 19 (15mm) - 10" length, although we are in the process of adding more options. The best part of these needles is the price--$5!

Anyways, stay tuned for teaser pictures of the new scarf pattern/kit in just a few weeks!

Thank you all for your great response to our promotion! Everything has been mailed out, and you should be getting (or have gotten!) your mystery packages. I love seeing pictures of roving spun up and yarn turned into finished objects. :)

Anyways, just a quick update over at the etsy store:

Things certainly start getting hectic this time of the year, and that is also true for us! However, I'm super excited to  announce that we'll (nonetheless!) be doing our very own Black Friday sale! We've got some absolutely gorgeous and squooshy Shetland roving lined up, as well as some wonderful chunky BFL yarn. Both of them are MYSTERY purchases, so you won't know the exact colorway until it arrives on your doorstep.
Listing will be available here starting Nov 23! (Also available under the Black Friday Deals on the "Shop" tab.)  Quantities are limited so order early!

Check out the listing here, starting on Nov 23rd!  Quantities are limited so order early!

I am so looking forward to be at the Charlotte Fiber Festival Friday June 22, Saturday 23 and Sunday June 24. being  held at the Metrolina Trade Show Expo north of Uptown Charlotte.  This  AIR-CONDITIONED show will have my new mohair shawls and custom spindles made by The Dragonfly Workshop.  I look forward to seeing you and if you mention you saw this post to me at the show you will get a 10% discount!!!!!

Although I just wrapped up a weekend at the Hoosier Hills Fiber Arts Festival, I'm already excited about the Iowa Sheep and Wool festival that I will be at next weekend! I like fiber festivals of all kinds, but I am especially fond of the "sheep and wool" fairs because of all the fleece, animals, and dog trials that I get to see. I'm just a sucker for fluffy sheep and gorgeous dogs. :)

Anyways, I just wanted to share this gorgeous picture that was taken of one of the Dragonfly spindles I sold at Hoosier Hills. I'm so glad that this spindle has gone to loving home!
It has a Boubinga whorl and walnut shaft and just absolutely spins like a dream.

Be sure to check out our spindles, as well as our shawl kits, roving, dye, handspun yarn, and a bunch of other things at Iowa Sheep and Wool next weekend!

It seems inevitable for fiber-minded folks to accumulate more material/yarn/fiber than they actually can use, as well as stuff for hobbies/techniques that they end up not having time for. Such, I will admit, it also the case with me. :)

I went through my closets this spring and culled down my collection of yarn that I don't LOVE LOVE, as well as many wool sweaters I intended on felting and some gorgeous fleeces that I never ended up processing. I've only got some of this pictured/online at this point, but be sure to be on the lookout as I get the rest posted. For the time being, check out these awesome wool sweaters, ready to be felting and turned into something else. It's sad seeing them go, but felting just honestly isn't my thing . :(
Sweaters are available in our etsy shop here.

After a few hours getting the booth set up, Sheepish Creations is all set up for our first show of the season, the Wisconsin Spin-In!

Pam is a little camera shy (look at how well she avoids the camera!):
We're excited to show off all our new fibers and colors. Skeins and skeins of handspun, gorgeous mohair yarn, super-soft silk hankies, and of course our core spinning fibers.

If you are in the Milwaukee/Waukesha area, be sure to come and check the marketplace out. :)
